Weather Effects

Weather is always a primary concern for us! We keep our eye to the sky for a couple of reasons. First of all to thank God for the sunshine and second to monitor the conditions so that we can service your home with maximum results. Wind and rain are always the two main factors that determine our ability to spray. We hope that after reading this page it will further help you to understand our services.

Rainy Conditions: Suspend S.C. has been extensively tested under numerous harsh and rainy conditions. It does not wash off from the rain. It has been proven to withstand longer than any other brand available to licensed technicians. Microencapsulation is the key to residual longevity, meaning lasting protection for you. Depending on heat and humidity, it takes from one to three hours to dry. The manual on Suspend S.C. states that it should be dry within two hours. We suggest being cautious and give it up to three hours.

We stop spraying approximately four hours ahead of predicted rain to give the chemicals adequate drying time. Once it’s dry, it is effective and we guarantee it! Even if it pours that night, it will continue to repel and protect.

Windy Conditions: A "too windy" period for us is 20 m.p.h. steady, or gusting up to 30 m.p.h. However, depending on where you are located, 10 to 15 m.p.h. might be too windy. The real problem with wind is drift. Drift is how far the spray floats in the wind. The problem with drift is two–fold, safety being our primary concern! First, we do not want to risk having a bystander get solution blown on them! I train all my technicians to be extra cautious. Although no immediate or serious harm will occur, the solution should be washed off right away. We have zero tolerance for carelessness. Secondly, on the lighter side, we really don’t want to spray your neighbors home for free. That would not be a wise business venture. Although, they might be happy with less bugs!

Weather Delays: If we are forced to reschedule due to the weather, you can count on service the next available weather appropriate workday. We avoid servicing on weekends unless absolutely necessary because there would be a slightly higher charge for weekend work. We will not skip you unless you reschedule for a specific date or time, at your convenience. As always, we are within E.P.A. guidelines in all of our decisions.
